Description of key information

1-Propanaminium, 3-(D-gluconoylamino)-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N,N-dimethyl-, chloride was inherently biodegradable and degraded by an average of > 60% during a period of 45 days.

Additional information

The batch of Quaternium-22 tested in the biodegradation test was a brown paste with a purity of 1-Propanaminium, 3-(D-gluconoylamino)-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N,N-dimethyl-, chloride > 90% (watercontent <10%).
