Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

No studies of skin sensitisation are available. There are no reports of skin sensitisation in workers potentially exposed to the substance. The pH of an aqueous solution was measured to be 1.2. A waiver is therefore proposed in accordance with Column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH Regulation. The substance is likely to be corrosive, therefore dermal exposure should be minimised or eliminated through the use of protective equipment such as gloves and faceshield. The local dermal effects of the substance are likely to be dominated by irritation/corrosion.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
No studies of skin sensitisation are available; a waiver is proposed for this endpoint as the substance is corrosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

No studies of skin sensitisation are available; a waiver is proposed due to the corrosive nature of the substance. There are no reports of skin sensitisation in workers potentially exposed to MK92K. In the absence of any data, no classification for skin sensitisation is proposed according to the CLP Regulation (1272/2008).
