Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Following skin contact: Wipe affected skin area with cloth.
Wash with generous amount of water and soap.
After eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart. In case of troubles or persistent symptoms, consult an opthalmologist.
After swallowing: Rinse mouth with water. Consult physician immediately.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
After contact with skin: Product may cause light irritation to skin.
After eye contact: mild irritant
Indication of any immediate medicala and special treatment needed:
Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Foam, extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
High power water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fire may be liberated: Traces of incompletely burned carbon compounds,
formaldehyde, silicon dioxide, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment for firefighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Additional information: Hazchem-Code: -
Do not allow water used to extinguish fire to enter drains, ground or waterways.
Accidental release measures
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapours.
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Environmental precautions:
Do not allow to penetrate into soil, waterbodies or drains.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Take up mechanically, placing in appropriate containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Advices on safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapours.
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Precautions against fire and explosion:
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Use explosion-proof equipment and non-sparking tools/utensils.
Do not weld.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements for storerooms and containers:
Keep container tightly closed in a cool place.
Avoid temperatures below 0 °C. Protect from frost.
Keep away from heat. Avoid open flames.
Store containers in upright position. Do not re-use the empty container.
