First-aid measures

Inhalation:
Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a doctor.

Skin contact:
Wash off immediately with plenty of water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical attention.

Eye contact:
Immediate medical attention is required. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.

Ingestion:
Immediately rinse mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical attention/advice.

Main symptoms:
Causes serious eye damage. May cause allergic skin reaction. May damage fertility or the unborn child.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media:
Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Dry Powder. Water spray. Foam.

Unsuitable Extinguishing Media:
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours.

Advice for firefighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit. Use personal protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Use personal protective equipment.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.
Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.

Environmental precautions:
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas.
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Prevent product from entering drains.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
Use personal protective equipment.
Pick up and transfer to properly labelled containers.
Avoid dust formation.
Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
After cleaning, flush away traces with water.

Personal Protective Equipment

Eye Protection: wear eye/face protection

Hand Protection: Wear protective gloves. Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion. Ensure that the breakthrough time of the glove material is not exceeded. Refer to glove supplier for information on breakthrough time for specific gloves.
