Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Key study

In a GLP and EC Regulation compliant study, the autoignition temperature of the test substance was determined to be 203°C at 1023 hPa (BASF SE, 2015).

Supporting study

In addition a supporting study was available (BASF AG, 2002) according to DIN 51794 to determine the auto-ignition temperature of the test item. The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be 210 °C at 982 - 992 hPa. Furthermore the Hommel Handbook of dangerous goods (Hommel, 2014) reports the auto-ignition temperature of the test item to be 210 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

Based on the most current and reliable information (BASF SE, 2015), the auto ignition temperature of the test substance is considered to be 203 °C at 1023 hPa. This value is supported by one further experimental study (BASF AG, 2002) and the literature (Hommel, 2014).
