Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
-2.84
Temp.:
23 °C
pH:
2.88

Deviation: A stock solution of the test substance should be prepared in n-octanol pre-saturated with water. Because of a low solubility of the test substance in this medium, the stock solution was prepared in water pre-saturated with n-octanol.

This deviation has no effect on the determination of log Pow of the test substance. There were no other deviations from study plan or guidelines during the study.

Conclusions:
Partition coefficient (log P) of the test substance, Reactive Yellow 85, determined by shake-flask method is:log Pow = -2.84 ± 0.08 (pH 2.88, 23°C)
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test substance Reactive Yellow 85 was determined.

For determination of partition coefficient was used the shake-flask method.

The test was performed according to the shake-flask method (OECD Test Guideline 107, Partition Coefficient (n-octanol/water): Shake Flask Method, Adopted 27 July 1995).

Partition coefficient (log P) of the test substance Reactive Yellow 85 determined by shake-flask method is:

log Pow = -2.84 ± 0.08 (pH 2.88, 23°C)

Description of key information

The test was performed according to the shake-flask method (OECD Test Guideline 107, Partition Coefficient (n-octanol/water): Shake Flask Method, Adopted 27 July 1995).

Partition coefficient (log P) of the test substance Reactive Yellow 85 determined by shake-flask method is:

log Pow = -2.84 ± 0.08 (pH 2.88, 23°C)
