key study
Study period:
2013
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)

Conclusions:
The determined result for water solubility was an average result for the time points 48, 72 and
96 hours and was calculated to be 8.3 mg/L. The result of the 24 hour time point differed more
than 15% from the next time point and was therefore not included in the average calculation.
The pH value of the samples, taken at the different time points, was measured with pH indicator
strips to be 7. The temperature at which the test was conducted varied from 19.7 – 20.5 °C, this is within
the set quality criteria of 20 ± 0.5°C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of Di-tert-butyl sec-butylidene diperoxide was determined in accordance

with OECD guideline 105 at a temperature of 20.0 ± 0.5°C. The data on water solubility

represent the saturation mass concentration of the test substance in water.

The determined final result for water solubility of Di-tert-butyl sec-butylidene diperoxide was

8.3 mg/L.
