Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The substance (2,5-diphenyloxazole) density was studied in accordance with EC Method A.3 and OECD Method 109 via a GLP-certified laboratory. The study used the Pycnometer method and determined that the substance density was 1244 kg/m^3 at ± 0.5 °C, with a relative density of 1.24.
Executive summary:

The substance, 2,5-diphenyloxazole, leting point was studied in accordance with EC Method A.3 and OECD Method 109 via a GLP-certified laboratory. The volume of the reference cell and the sample cell were determined using the stainless steel calibration sphere. The reference cell was pressurized and the pressure recorded (P1). Following this, the volume of the sample cell was added to the system resulting in a reduction in the pressure which was also recorded (P2). The procedure was then repeated with the sample cell containing the calibration sphere resulting in two more pressure readings (P3 and P4). From these four pressure readings, the volume of the reference cell (Vref) and of the sample cell (Vcell) was calculated. The calibration was performed on the day of testing.

This procedure was performed in triplicate. The ambient temperature was recorded.

The study used the  Pycnometer method and determined that the substance density was 1244 kg/m^3 at ± 0.5 °C, with a relative density of 1.24.
