Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), Annex VII, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted as the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of the oxygen balance values and the known experience in the handling and use.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition set out in the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), an explosive substance or mixture is a solid or liquid substance or mixture of substances, which is in itself capable by chemical reaction of producing gas at such a temperature and pressure and at such a speed as to cause damage to the surroundings. Pyrotechnic substances are included even when they do not evolve gases.

Test item is not classified because, based on oxygen balance values and known experience in handling and use of the substance, it is incapable by chemical reaction of producing gas at such a temperature and pressure and at such a speed as to cause damage to the surroundings.
