Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance.

Substance handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.

Usage precautions: Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear suitable protective equipment for prolonged exposure and/or high concentrations of vapours, spray or mist. Avoid inhalation of dust and contact with skin and eyes. Avoid handling which leads to dust formation. Avoid generation and spreading of dust. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation in places where dust is formed. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.

Advice on general occupational hygiene: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Good personal hygiene procedures should be implemented. Wash promptly with soap and water if skin becomes contaminated.Wash after use and before eating, smoking and using the toilet.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Store in tightly-closed, original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Do not store near heat sources or expose to high temperatures. Avoid exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Avoid contact with the following materials: Strong oxidising agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Procedural and control technologies are used to minimise emissions and any resulting exposure.

2. Organisational protection measures:

the substance is rigorously contained by technical means during its whole Lifecyle including manufacture, purification , cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading of equipment or vessels, waste disposal or purification and storage.

3. Hand protection: Wear protective gloves. The most suitable glove should be chosen in consultation with the glove supplier/manufacturer, who can provide information about the breakthrough time of the glove material.

4. Body protection: Wear protective clothing.

5. Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles). Personal protective equipment for eye and face protection should comply with European Standard EN166.

6. Respiratory protection: No specific ventilation requirements. This product must not be handled in a confined space without adequate ventilation. If ventilation is inadequate, suitable respiratory protection must be worn. Wear a respirator fitted with the following cartridge: Particulate filter, type P1. Particulate filters should comply with European Standard EN143.
