Description of key information

Acute toxicity studies have been conducted in fish, daphnia and algae. The EC50s/LC50s in fish is 91 mg/L for fish (Salmo gairdneri) , 21mg/L for Daphnia and 0.88 mg/L in algae. Alga was the most sensitive species tested, thus endpoints on inhibiton on growth rate will be used in the PNEC derivation. Oxema did not exert inhibiotry effects in a ready bioadegradation test and passes the criteria of readily biodegradable failing the 10 -day window, thus further studies on the toxicity to microorgansism do not need to be conducted.
