Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Hydrolysis:

The half life of hydrolysis od test chemical Reaction mass of Methanaminium, N-[4-[[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]phenylmethylene]-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene]-N-methyl- & acetate

was estimated by using EPI suite (2018). The half life of hydrolysis of test chemical was estimated to be 16.3 days and 1.63 days at pH 7 and 8 respectively. On the basis of this half life value it can be concluded that test chemical Reaction mass of Methanaminium, N-[4-[[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]phenylmethylene]-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene]-N-methyl- & acetate

shows negligible to slow hydrolysis.

Additional information

Hydrolysis:

Predicted data study for target chemical Reaction mass of Methanaminium, N-[4-[[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]phenylmethylene]-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene]-N-methyl- & acetate and supporting experimental study for its read across chemical have been reviewed for hydrolysis endpoint and their results are summarized below.

In first predicted data study the half life of hydrolysis of test chemical Reaction mass of Methanaminium, N-[4-[[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]phenylmethylene]-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene]-N-methyl- & acetate

was estimated by using EPI suite (2018).

Next study was experimental study in this study the hydrolysis rate conatant of test chemical estimated was 4.31e-11 cm3/mol/sec as this hydrolysis rate constant is very less this chemical shows negligible hydrolysis and it is also supported by data obtained from authoritative database ( HSDB) that this chemical lack hydrolyzable functional group and does not undergo hyrolysis.

On the basis of results of both the studies mentioned above it can be concluded that test chemical

Reaction mass of Methanaminium, N-[4-[[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]phenylmethylene]-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene]-N-methyl- & acetate shows negligible to slow hydrolysis.
