The test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms.

The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.

Short-term toxicity to fish:

Two studies with freshwater fish are availiable. The LC50 (96h) was estimated to be > 100 mg/L in the key GLP study [BASF SE 1999]

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

One study with freshwater invertebrates is availiable. The EC50 (48h) was estimated to be > 100 mg/L in a GLP-study [BASF SE 1999].

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria:

One study with freshwater algae is availiable. The EC50 (72h) was estimated to be > 100 mg/L and the NOEC (72h) was estimated to be >= 100 mg/L in a GLP-Study [BASF AG 2003].

Toxicity to microorganisms:

One study with wastewater treatment plant microorganism is availiable. The EC10 (0.5h) was estimated to be > 1000 mg/L in a GLP study [BASF AG 1998].
