Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study according OECD TG 109 was conducted to determine the density of the test substance. Using the oscillating densitometer method the density at 20°C was determined to be 0.8832 g/cm3. In a supporting study using the pycnometer method the density at 20 °C was determined to be 0.882 g/cm3. Furthermore, the Hommel handbook reports the density to be 0.877 g/mL at 20°C and Kuffner 1962 (as cited in Registry, 2014) reports the density to be 0.88 g/mL at 20°C. All reported values are in the same range. The literature value supports the conducted studies. Thus, a density of 0.8832 g/cm3 at 20°C was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment at it was from the most reliable study.
