Melting / freezing pt.:
-18 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Glass transition

- Two determinations using 5.47 and 6.41 mg were made.

- No melting temperature was detected, but a glass transition was observed at -18 °C (mean of -17.8 and -17.6 °C).

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study, no melting temperature was detected, but a glass transition was observed at -18 °C (mean of -17.8 and -17.6 °C).
Executive summary:

The melting/ freezing point of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guideline OECD 102, under GLP conditions.

The experiment was performed using a differential scanning calorimeter, the test material was a liquid so the test was started at - 60 °C held isothermally for 15 minutes, then heated at 5 °C/min to 20 °C and then 10 °C/min to 400 °C. Two determinations using 5.47 and 6.41 mg were made.

Under the conditions of this study, no melting temperature was detected, but a glass transition was observed at -18 °C (mean of -17.8 and -17.6 °C).

Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, no melting temperature was detected, but a glass transition was observed at -18 °C (mean of -17.8 and -17.6 °C).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting/ freezing point of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guideline OECD 102, under GLP conditions. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).
