3-(Triethoxysilyl)-N-[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]-1-propanamine (CAS No. 13497-18-2) has a low vapour pressure, is moderately water soluble, has a moderate adsorption potential and is not readily biodegradable. However, the substance degrades rapidly in water through hydrolysis to 3- (trihydroxysilyl)-N-[3-(hydroxysilyl)propyl]-1-propanamine and ethanol and therefore the silanol hydrolysis product is expected to be mainly found in the environment. Due to its high water solubility, low vapour pressure and low adsorption potential the hydrolysis product will be mainly present in the water column.
