not classified

Additional information

The test item is a liquid at ambient conditions. Thus, the substance was not considered for classification as flammable gas. This hazard class is only applicable for gases.

The flash point was determined to be 90.5 °C (refer to IUCLID Section 4.11). Thus, the substance has not to be classified as flammable liquid.

The test item is a liquid at ambient conditions. Thus, the substance was not considered for classification as flammable solid. This hazard class is only applicable for solids.

Pyrophoric properties are not to be expected as the substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days).

The test substance is not considered as highly flammable according to the regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Annex A.12., and according to UN recommendations on the transport of

dangerous goods, Manual of Test Criteria, Part III, Test N.5

The substance does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.

The substance does not need to be classified as flammable aerosol as the substance is a liquid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I Section 2.2, Section 2.3, Section 2.6, Section 2.7, Section 2.9, Section 2.10 Section 2.11, Section 2.12 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EC) No 2017/776, and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the test item has not to be classified as, flammable liquid in class 2, readily combustible solid in class 4 Division 4.1, self-heating substance in Class 4 Division 4.2, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases in Class 4 Division 4.3, pyrophoric liquid, pyrophoric solid in class 4 Division 4.2, flammable gases in class 2 or as aerosol in class 2.
