Results and discussion

Water solubility
Key result
Water solubility:
<= 0.041 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat. (dissolved fraction)
Incubation duration:
> 16 h
Temp.:
19.6 °C
pH:
>= 7 - <= 7.5
Remarks on result:
other: highest value at any flow rate
Details on results:
The turbidity of the eluates was < 0.2 NTU. According to this, no undissolved particles were detected in the eluates.

The pH of the aqueous samples was 7.0 and 7.5.

Analysed mean concentration in the water sample at flow rate 24 mL/h was 0.0165 mg/L (n=10, CV = 14%).
Analysed mean concentration in the water samples at flow rate 12 mL/h was 0.0148 (n=10, CV = 60%).
Average of two runs: 0.0156 mg/L.
The maximum difference (MD) on the mean values of the samples at both flow rates was ≤ 30%. However, since a high variation between different aliquots (> 30%) was observed, the water solubility was concluded to be ≤ 0.041 mg/L as this was the highest value at any flow rate.

Test item was detected in the samples from the blank column. The maximum contribution to the area of 0.0412 mg/L was ≥ 9.8% at a flow rate of 24 mL/h and ≥ 9.3% at a flow rate of 12 mL/h. This concentration was considered negligible.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the substance at 20°C was determined to be <=0.041 mg/L.
