Type:
density
Density:
1.046 g/cm³
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: relative density D4/20 = 1.05

Two tests with different amounts of the test item were performed to determine the relative density D420 at a temperature of 20 °C ± 0.01 °C.

Results of the measurement of the density of the test item

Test No. Temperature [°C] Amount of test item [g] Average sample volume [cm³] Density [g/cm³]*
1 20 7.4004 7.07016 1.04671
2 20 8.3589
8.00097

1.04474

* The pressurizing-expansion cycles are performed until 4 subsequent volume measurements have a relative standard deviation (RSD) of ≤ 0.2 %.

The mean density of the test item at 20 °C is 1.04573 ± < 0.01 g/cm³ (RSD = 0.09 %). The relative density D420 is calculated by dividing the density of the test item by the density of water at 4 °C (0.9999750 g/cm³).

The relative density is       D420 = 1.05.

Conclusions:
According to OECD Test Guideline 109 (2012), Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.3. and EPA OCSPP Test Guideline 830.7300 (2002), the relative density D4/20 of the test item oleic acid, copper salt at 20 °C ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is D4/20 = 1.05.

Description of key information

According to OECD Test Guideline 109 (2012), Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.3. and EPA OCSPP Test Guideline 830.7300 (2002), the relative density D420 of the test item oleic acid, copper salt at 20 °C ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is D420 = 1.05.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
