Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Remarks on result:
other: No quantititave value could be determined. Whilst heating the test item, no exothermic reaction was observed in the temperature/time plot. 300 °C was the maximum temperature the test item was taken to because above this the test item further decomposes.
Conclusions:
The test item has been determined to not have a relative self-ignition temperature below 300 °C and decomposes above 300 °C.
Executive summary:

A test compatible with Method A.16 Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids was performed on 1-Propanaminium, N-(3-aminopropyl)-2-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyl-3-sulfo-, N-coco acyl derivs., hydroxides, inner salts to determine its auto-flammability. On completion of the test, the test item was a melted black charred mass. Whilst heating the test item no exothermic reaction was observed in the temperature/time plot. No relative self-ignition temperature below 300 °C was observed.

Description of key information
