Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of stabilized EMIM BF4 was determined following EU A.4 using the effusion method (weight loss).

Vaour pressure was examinde at 7 different temperatures. 4 temperatures could be evaluated as thes showed relevant and reproducible weight loss. For these temperatures, 1/T was plotted against log (P)

 Experiment  T  Mean P  Stand.Dev.P  RSD P
 No.  K  Pa  Pa  %
 4  348.2  1.16E-03  4.61E-04  39.9
 5  363.2  5.77E-03  7.59E-04  13.1
 6  378.2  1.35E-02  1.71E-03  12.7
 7  393.2  6.22E-02  3.08E-04  0.5

The graph 1/T vs. log (P) shows a straight line with a correlation of -0.9936

For the test item stabilized EMIM BF4 the following vapour pressures at 20 °C and at 25 °C were calculated from the regression equation:

Vapour pressure at 20 °C:       2.20E-06

Vapour pressure at 25 °C:       4.30E-06
