Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Based on the findings, the test item 1,1'-Azobis(cyclohexane-1-carbonitrile) should be considered as not highly flammable according to Regulation (EU) No 1272/2008.
Executive summary:

First, a safety test was performed. A small amount of the test item was heated on a magnesia groove with a gas burner in order to derive safety precautions. The test item melted into a clear liquid. The liquid burned with big orange flame.

In the preliminary screening test following the EU method and UN method, the test item was heated with the flame of a teclu burner. The test item melted into a liquid. The liquid started to burn. The flame died after 1 min and 19.53 sec without propagation.

Therefore, the test item1,1'-Azobis(cyclohexane-1-carbonitrile)should be considered as

not highly flammable (for EU regulations)

                                                        non-flammable solid (for UN regulations)
