Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two experimental acute aquatic toxicity studies in daphnia magna are available for samples of gasoline. These studies tested water accommodated fractions in closed vessels with minimum headspace, to avoid evaporative loss. LL50 values obtained were 7.6 and 12 mg/L.

A supporting PetroTox (version 4.01) modelled values are available. The compositions of both registrants were available, and both were run. For the composition 1, the model predicted an acute LL50 of 6.97 mg/L, whereas for the composition 2, an acute LL50 of 4.24 mg/L.
