Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash the contaminated skin with running water. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: Kohlenmonoxide, Schwefeldioxid, Wasser, Stickstoffoxide.

"ENGLISH"

carbon monoxides, sulfur dioxide, water, nitrogen oxides

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Personal protective equipment and self containing breathing

apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Exclude unprotected persons from area of spill. Prevent

entry of spills into sewers. Recover spilled material

mechanically (avoiding the format ion of dust,e.g. using an

industrial vacuum cleaner of approved type) and transfer it

into clean and dry containers for disposal/ incineration.

The containers label in accordance with Technical Rule 201.

Consider local and natio-nal regulations with the disposal

of the substance. While taking up the substance, prevent

skin and eye contact as well as inhalation of it. Wear

personal protective equipment (see in this regard point

2.3.10 handling).

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must be designed so that exposure by

skin contact and, if applicable, by inhalation of the

substance is minimized. As far as possible, closed, or at

least dustproof, equipment should be used during filling,

transfer and metered feeding as well as during sampling. In

the case of handling the substance (powder) in open

systems, any dust that can form should be extracted directly

at the point of origin. If technical extraction or

ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient,

respiratory protection (e.g. full-face mask with ABEK filter

or half-mask with filter for P1) should be worn. To avoid

skin contact, tested protective gloves (e.g. made of PVC

G-23N of the company S.T.Chemical Co.Ltd.) and, if

applicable, suitable protective clothing (e.g. DuPoint

"Tyvek" disposable protective suit) should be worn.

Adequate washing facilities should be available in

the immediate vicinity of the work area. After skin contact,

the affected parts of the skin shoud be cleaned thoroughly

using (water and soap, polyethylene glycol PEG 400).

Skin-protection and skin-care measures are recommended.

If dust can develop, due to the potential dust explosion

risk, potential ignition sources should be removed from the

work area. In addition, measures should be taken to prevent

electrostatic discharges.

Storage: Store in closed and correctly labelled containers in well

ventilated areas at room temperature.

Containers secure by suitable measures against falling down.

Avoid substance on the outside of the containers.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25 - 50 kg  drums.
