Administrative data

First-aid measures

Irrigate eyes immediately with copious amounts of water.    Continue irrigation for at least 15 minutes.  Seek medical  attention.

Remove contaminated  clothing and wash affected area with   copious amounts of water.  If signs of irritation persist,  seek medical attention.  

Do NOT induce vomiting.  Rinse out mouth with water and seek immediate medical attention.

Remove individual to fresh air.  If breathing is difficult  give oxygen.  If breathing ceases give artificial respiration. If signs of toxicity occur seek medical attention.                                                  

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent - use appropriate medium for underlying cause of fire (i.e.carbon dioxide, foam, dry chemical extinguishers)

Products arising from burning/pyrolysis - oxides of carbon and nitrogen

Protective equipment - standard fire-fighting equipment should be worn along with self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Protective clothing should be worn including oil impervious gloves,  safety spectacles or goggles and respirator.  Sweep up powder, minimising dust, and transfer solid waste to a   suitable, sealable container, which should be disposed of   appropriately.  The spillage site should then be washed with

water. Prevent run-off from entering drains, sewers and streams".

Handling and storage

Handling - oil impervious gloves should be worn as well as safety spectacles/goggles and respirator.  Local exhaust  ventilation may be desired.

Storage -   Store in sealed, unbreakable containers, in a cool, dry     place protected from light, away from strong oxidisers.
