Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish, no toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the substance to Brachydanio rerio was determined in a GLP limit test according to OECD guideline 203.

A static test system was set up according to the guideline and the fish were exposed for 96 hours. Based on nominal test substance concentrations an LC50 > 100 mg/l was determined (BASF AG 2005).

These results are supported by another GLP guideline study which was conducted under similar test conditions as the key study. At test termination after 96 h a LL50 > 100 mg/L (nominal) was determined (BASF China 2012).
