Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Batch 3032500391
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
304.6 °C

On completion of the test crucible was opened and appearance noted, test item remained unchanged. Endothermic event observed with onset temperature of 304.6°C, however no signs of melting observed in crucible after test. Test item did not melt up to 500°C.

Conclusions:
The melting temperature was determined with laser diffraction according to EU Method A.1 and OECD test guideline 102.
