Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove exposed person to fresh air if adverse effects are
observed.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if irritation develops or persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if
irritation develops.
Launder contaminated clothing before use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Give two glasses of water if the
person is conscious. Seek immediate medical attention,
symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol foam or water spray
are suitable extinguishing agents. Do not use water-jet,
splattering may occur.
Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides,
together with some soot, oxides of copper and aldehydes.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear personal protective equipment when cleaning spillages
(cf 2.3.1). Ventilate the area if spillage is in a confined
space.
Prevent entry of spilt material into sewers and water-
courses. Dispose of waste by incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual procedures in handling organic chemicals.
Wear nitrile or neoprene gloves and chemical goggles.
Storage: Use local exhaust ventilation in store-rooms.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No method of neutralisation is known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method of disposal. Ensure that waste gas
treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen and copper oxides is
used. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery fron fuel is not possible in view of the low
concentrations of substance.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Hazardous effects will be due to the fuel, the substance
will be present at such a low level that its hazardous
properties will not be observable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Dispose of as for waste fuel.
