Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from source of dust and obtain medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water and obtain medical attention if irritation

develops.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash well with water and obtain medical attention if

irritation develops.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Remove material from mouth and obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water is suitable.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of nitrogen,

carbon and sulfur together with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear protective clothing and a self-contained breathing

apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Vacuum clean or moisten and sweep up and put in to

containers for subsequent disposal. Absorb spills with sand

or earth and dispose of according to local regulations.

Handle as under 2.3.1. Wash away residue or small spillages

with low pressure water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid prolonged skin contact and inhalation of dust. Total

enclosure should be the principle control measure. Where

there is an operator interface, use local exhaust

ventilation (Where relevant in a segregated area) with use

of personal protection (eg. normal protective clothing, PVC

gloves, goggles and dust mask to BS6016 type 2 eg. 3M 8810)

Storage: Store away from strong oxidising agents.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Small quantities of CSPC may be neutralised using dilute

(1-3%) perborate solution.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Discharge of diluted substance to a landfill site is

possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal at an incinerator equipped with waste gas treatment

to remove oxides of nitrogen and sulfur is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Discharge of diluted substance by this route is possible.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from preparation is not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable for the public but CSPC may be neutralised

using dilute (1-3%) perborate solution.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance may be disposed of as normal domestic waste.
