First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: In case product dust is released:

Possible discomfort: cough, sneezing.

Take affected persons out into the fresh air.

Notes to physician:

Specific therapy/antidote treatment: none known

After absorbing larger amounts of substance:

Acceleration of the gastro-intestinal tract.

Administration of activated charcoal.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Possible discomfort is due to foreign substance effect.

Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water keeping eyelid open.

In case of persistent discomfort: Consult an

ophthalmologist.

Emergency measure - Skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of

water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is

conscious).

After absorbing larger amounts of substance: obtain medical

attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: All extinguishing substances suitable

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides

Protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing

apparatus.

Water mist may be used to cool closed containers.

Fire residues should be disposed of in accordance with the

regulations.

Water used to extinguish fire should not enter drainage

systems, soil or stretches of water.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid dust formation.

Wear personal protective equipment.

Keep unauthorised persons away.

Do not allow the product into the following compartments:

soil, drainage systems, stretches of water

Sweep up or vacuum spillage and collect in suitable

container for disposal.

Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the

regulations.

Waste to be packed like clean product and to be marked.

Identification label on packages not to be removed until

recycling.

Observe regulations on prevention of water pollution

(collect, dam up, cover up).

Handling and storage

Handling: The personal protective equipment used must meet the

requirements of directive 89/686/EEC and

amendments (CE certification).

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety

practice. If there is the possibility of skin/eye contact

the indicated hand/eye/body protection should be used.

Avoid dust formation.

No particular measures required if used correctly.

Ensure there are sufficient retaining facilities for water

used to extinguish fire.

Hygiene measures:

No eating, drinking, smoking, or snuffing tobacco at work.

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

Change contaminated clothing.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

recommended.
