Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Experimental aquatic toxicity studies of reliability 1 (Klimisch rating), based on international guidelines, are available on the registered substance
for aquatic invertebrates and algae.
For algae, under the test conditions, EC50 and NOEC values of 8.7 (7.2 - 11) and 1.2 mg/L was observed for algae growth rate, respectively.
For aquatic invertebrates, under the test conditions, the 48 hour EC50 was 89 mg/L based on effects on mobility.

Substance is not classified for Short-term (acute) aquatic hazard based on the available data on two trophic levels.

Based on alga chronic data (72 h NOEC) substance is not classfied for Long-term (chronic) aquatic hazard but since chronic data is not available for invertebrate and fish, the acute data for these trophic levels can be used (as per the Table 4.1.0 of CLP Guidance). Based on this, invertebrate acute data leads to chronic clssification 3. According to the principle of most stringent criteria, the substance may be classfied for Category Chronic 3.
