Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Anyone affected by inhalation exposure (eg to mist droplets)
should be removed to fresh air and medical attention
obtained. In all cases, remove contaminated clothing and
launder before reuse.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for 20 minutes. If irritation persists,
seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove excess with paper towels. Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Suitable extinguishing agents are water mist, carbon
dioxide, foam and dry powder.
Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon oxides, phosphorous
oxide smoke and soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spillage and soak up with sand or similar absorbent
material. Dispose of waste by incineration at an approved
facility. Do not wash significant quantities down drains.
Handling and storage
Handling: Normal good industrial hygiene practice should be followed.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. For open handling, wear
plastic or rubber gloves, overalls and goggles.
Storage: Store in securely closed containers away from food and
foodstuffs.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given, 6th amendment notification.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The substance may be hydrolysed using base.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended, temperatures should be in excess of 800 deg C
and waste gas treatment to remove phosphorous oxides used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended, the substance is not readily biodegradable
and is harmful to daphnia.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from plastics is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Plastics containing the substance may be disposed of in
accordance with local regulations.
