Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry powder, CO2, foam

Do not use water.

Product arising from burning: CO, HCN, NOx, SO2.

Avoid strong oxidizing and strong reducing agents.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus

should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal precautions: see section 2.3.00.

Method for clean up:

Mix with sand or similar inert absorbent material, sweep up

and keep in a tightly closed container for disposal.

Arrange disposal as special waste, by licensed disposal

company, in consultation with local Disposal Authority, in

accordance with national and regional regulations.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow material to enter

drains or water courses.

Handling and storage

Handling: - Engineering control measures: Use appropriate engineering

control to reduce air contamination to approved permissible

national exposure standards. When such systems are not

available wear suitable protective equipment which meets the

local/national standards. There should be local procedures

for selection, training, inspection and maintenance of this

equipment.

- Respiratory precautions: Wear approved mask/respirator (EN

141).

- Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves. These types of

protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers

noting their detailed statements about the associated

breakthrough time and minimum thickness. Also, consider the

particular working conditions under which they are being

used (EN420, EN388, EN374).

- Skin protection: Wear suitable protective clothing

(PREN13034).

- Eye protection: Tightly sealed safety glasses.

Handle in an efficient fumehood.
