Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: If patient is conscious, rinse mouth several times with
water and supply fresh air.
If required provide artificial respiration. Keep patient
warm and consult doctor if unwellness persists.
In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side
position for transport, consult medical doctor.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water,
then seek for medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. In case of open wounds
consult medical doctor.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Instantly call for a medical doctor; clinical treatment
starting with gastric lavage.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbondioxide, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight
larger fires with water jet or alcohol resistant foam.
Product arising from burning: formation of carbonmonoxide, carbondioxide, nitrogen oxide
hydrogenchloride, sulfurdioxide and nitrogen oxide possible
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Do not breath the gases arising from burning, use
self-contained respirator
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up spilled material and fill into a tight containment.
Avoid intake into sewage. Collected material is to be
handled as special waste (Thermal disposal in an agreed
incineration installation).
Handling and storage
Handling: Keep containers/drums tightly sealed, ensure good
ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Open Container/drum
with care. Wear your personal protective equipment.
Storage: Store at a cool dry place in steel drums with PE-Inliners.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The material is packed in (iron )steel drums(thickness
1mm)which is equipped with an inlying plastic drum(PE):
Specification of the inlying PE drum:
Material: ND-PE GF 4750
Thickness: 3 mm at least
Volume: about 200 L
inner diameter: 570 mm
height: 843 mm
Reuse of the emptied drums is possible.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: stable under normal conditions
Chemical reaction with water: no reaction with water
Dust explosion: Formation of dust due to properties of material not possible
(CMTD is a hardened melt).
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of substance from solutions by steam distillation
possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Avoiding hazardous effects by following safety advises. In
case of unintentional release of the substance collect
completely and restore material in closed containment.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: recommended method to destroy waste containing the
substance.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not readily biodegradable and the substance
does not inhibit activity of activated sludge. Discharge of
small amounts in diluted aqueous solutions in adapted waste
treatment unit possible.
