First-aid measures

Ingestion : Make the victim rinse his mouth with water. Provoke vomiting except when he is unconscious or persents abnormal movements .
Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water maintaining eyelids well apart . Take advice of an ophthalmologist .
Skin contact : Remove contamined clothing . Wash affected areas in flowing water or shower for at least 15 mn . If irritation occurs , consult a physician.
Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. Keep warm and at rest .

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media - Suitable : CO2 , dry chemical powder , foam.
Special exposure hazards, combustion products : During fire toxic fumes will be liberated .
Special protective equipment for firefighters : Wear full protective clothing , use a self-contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Insure adequate ventilation . Avoid dermal contact .
Environmental precautions : Avoid discharge into sewers and waterways .
Methods for cleaning up : Sweep up spilled material being careful not create dust . Place sweepings in a chemical waste container for disposal

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the ECHA REACH Guidance on Intermediates (Feb 08) and the Cefic/CONCAWE guidance for industry on SCC (February 09). Site documentation to confirm safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Handling conditions : As with any industrial chemical substance, ingestion, inhalation and prolonged contact should be avoided by good standards of industrial hygiene and safe working practice. Do not breathe dust.
Storage conditions : Keep away from excessive heat , away from food products . Store in tightly closed containers.
