Administration / exposure

Details on dermal exposure:
Six groups of nine rats were injected Methyl Bromide-liquid paraffin by sc injection at doses of 75, 100, 125, 150, 200 and 250 mg/kg bw. Mortality was observed for one week after injection, and the LD50 was determined.

Dose descriptor:
LD50
Effect level:
135 mg/kg bw
Mortality:
The LD50 of Methyl Bromide was found to be 135mg/kg in the rat. The 100% survival and 100% lethal doses were 75mg/kg and 250mg/kg, respectively. A total of 28 rats died: 27 within 24 h and one on day 4 after Methyl Bromide administration.
