The melting point of1,2-Propanediamine, N1-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-, dihydrochloride, (2S)- was tested according to OECD Guideline 102 in a DTA/DSC system with a heating rate of 1 K/min in crucible made of aluminium with perforated lid and no pressure was reported. The melting point of 1,2-Propanediamine, N1-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-, dihydrochloride, (2S)- was found to be between 218 and 227 °C. The melting point was not reversible and the colour of the substance changed after this temperature which indicates that the product could start to decompose at this temperature.
