3.3

Any other information on results incl. tables

An excess of test substance was stirred with double distilled water for 24 days at room temperature. After centrifugation, the concentration of Mucosolvan HBr in the water phase was determined to be 6.50 g/L (mean value of all measurements). Because no significant differences were observed between the concentrations analysed after the second and third centrifugation step, it was concluded that all undissolved test substance had been removed after two centrifugation steps.

The HPLC chromatograms of the pretreated water samples were comparable with the chromatograms of the calibration solutions. The chromatograms of the pretreated blank water sample showed no peak with the same retention as the test substance.

The pH value of the three times centrifuged water sample was 3.3.
