Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: VDI 2263 sheet 1
Principles of method if other than guideline:
A 8 ml cylindrical fine-mesh wire basket is filled with the test substance. The same is done with graphite as reference. Both samples are heated electrically in an air stream and the temperature inside the two samples is recorded. At the onset temperature the temperature of the test substance exceeds that of the reference measurement. Classification as self-heating is required when the onset temperature is below 220°C
GLP compliance:
no

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The substance has not be classified as sekf heating or auto flammable according to UN-trans´port or GHS/CLP-regulation.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for autoflammability according to VDI 2263 sheet 1 in the Grewer overn screening test (8 ml wire basket).

For the pure substance autoflammability started at 290 °C and for a 1:1 mixture with kieselgur autoflammablity started at 280°C
