First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Inhalation
If inhaled: If breathing is difficult, remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Skin contact
Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact
In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician immediately.
Ingestion
Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
No specific information available.
Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
No special antidote. Treatment according to the symptoms.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media
Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder, foam, water spray.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx), Hydrogen chloride gas, Hydrogen fluoride.
Advice for firefighters
Personal protection through wearing a tightly closed chemical protection suit and a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Other information
No other data.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Use personal protective equipment. In the case of respirable dust, use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Environmental precautions
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Knock down dust with water spray jet.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Use mechanical handling equipment. Treat recovered material as described in the section "Disposal considerations". Flush away traces with water.
Reference to other sections
Information regarding personal protective equipment, see section "exposure controls/personal protection". Information regarding waste disposal, see section "disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17 (3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing the substance should be handled at these sites under the strictly controlled conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18 (4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site. Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Manufacturer/User of the Registrant's intermediate.
Precautions for safe handling
Refill and handle product only in closed system. Protect from moisture. Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. German storage class 11.
