First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash exposed area with soap.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Administer water and activated charcoal. Call a physician.

In all cases, remove contaminated clothing.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use CO2, dry chemical, or alcohol foam as extinguishing

media. Respiratory protection should be provided for

fire-fighters. Use water spray to cool exposed surfaces and

protect personnel. Large quantities of nitrogen oxides may

be formed.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: The material is not readily biodegradable. Avoid

contamination of water supplies or outfalls. Control and

clean up as for any non-reactive organic solid. If spill is

on ground, remove top two inches (5cm) of soil and send to

incinerator.

Handling and storage

Handling: Wear gloves and a long sleeved shirt when handling. Protect

eyes and skin. Use approved pesticide dust respirator if

the possibility exists of inhaling dust. Handle only in a

well ventilated area.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, place. Keep container tightly closed.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Stable to water. Polymerisation will not occur

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Uncontaminated material may be reworked or recycled to meet

product specification.Contaminated material will be

destroyed

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not readily amenable to neutralisation

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Can be destroyed in a solid waste incinerator at a

temperature of 950 Deg C or above for two seconds or

longer. Large quantities of nitrogen oxides may be evolved.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: L5296 will remain entirely within industry/skilled trade

control and will not enter the public domain.
