Additional information

Readily biodegradability:

The results of all experimentally performed ready biodegradability tests which were considered to be valid confirm that the substance is not readily biodegradable. In an inherent degradation test (Zahn-Wellens Test), the substance was not inherently biodegradable and was also not degradable under anaerobic conditions within a period of 55 d.

No toxic effect on the microorganisms was investigated during the anaerobic test (100 mg test substance/L) and within the Modified screening tests - DOC die-away (1994, 1997) (20 mg test substance/L). Hence, it can be stated that the substance is non toxic to microorganisms.

Hydrolysis:

No significant degradation of the test substance occurred. According to the guidelines, the criteria of less than 10 % hydrolysis after 5 days of reaction was met (pre test, Tier 1); no further testing is necessary.
