Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with copper compounds and soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Collect spill
and transfer to labelled containers. Dispose of by
incineration in accordance with local regulations. Wash
spill site with water avoiding contamination of water
courses.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation. A
dust mask should be worn.
Storage: Store in tightly closed polyethylene lined steel containers.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: During normal application approximately 99.9% binds
irreversibly to paper. Recovery for recycling of the
remaining substance is not reasonably practical.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility using temperatures
>800 deg C. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen
and sulfur and copper compounds should be fitted. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Approximately 0.1% of the total quantity used is discharged
into internal industrial effluent as highly diluted
solution. A purification of the waste water in a treatment
plant is recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of articles which may be disposed of as domestic waste.
