Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If respiratory symptoms appear, seek
medical attention. If not breathing, administer artificial
respiration.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with water for at least 15 - 20 minutes, including
under eyelids. If irritation is apparent, seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, water fog.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and also some soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protection by suitable clothing and positive pressure
breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing and eliminate all ignition
sources. Absorb liquid material on absorbent material (e.g.
vermiculite) and transfer to suitable containers for
disposal by incineration. Wash down contaminated areas with
plenty of water, using containment to avoid washings
reaching drains or surface waters.
Handling and storage
Handling: Protective clothing, goggles or safety glasses and gloves
should be worn when working with the material. When using
the commercial preparation in solvent, also use
solvent-resistant (e.g. PVA) gloves and work only in
well-ventilated areas; respiratory protection will also be
required if the TLV workplace exposure limits for the
solvent are approached or exceeded.
Storage: Store at ambient temperature, protected from moisture.
Commercial preparation in solvent should be stored only in
well-ventilated areas away from oxidising agents or ignition
sources (including static discharges).
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Closed end 205 litre steel barrels (lacquer lined), or 1000
kg tanks made of stainless steel or plastic with a metal
frame.
