First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air; if concerned, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse open eye for several minutes with running water. Seek
medical advice if concerned.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before re-use. Wash
immediately with soap and water. If irritation persists or
develops, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Use fire-fighting measures suitable for the environment. Do
not use water.
Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a
fire, evolving noxious fumes (eg carbon and nitrogen oxides
and soot). However, there is no experimental evidence to
support the anticipated combustion products.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards as

Collect mechanically - product forms slippery surface when
mixed with water. Containers filled with waste material
must be labelled in the same way as the original containers.
Dispose of waste material by incineration or landfill in
accordance with local regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used in
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.
Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance.
Avoid high dust concentrations. Protect against
electrostatic discharges.

Exposure controls / personal protection
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn. Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate international or national standards as follows;
Chemical protective gloves.
Chemical resistant clothing.
Eye protection.
When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be used. e.g. a dust mask.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Discharge to the environment will be minimal. Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not economically or technically feasible, and such waste material will be disposed of by incineration or landfill. In principle, it may be possible to recover larger spillages of uncontaminated material for subsequent use. Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is practicable to neutralise the hazardous health or environmental properties. The dust hazard will be minimised by appropriate storage and
handling techniques. Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local regulations. Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes (eg carbon and nitrogen oxides and soot) could be formed.
