Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Alkaline hydrolysis to palmitic acid and geraniol may remove

the hazardous properties. (A632)

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method of destruction. Incinerate at a suitable

facility using waste gas treatment. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Disposal after adequate dilution to a sewage treatment plant

is possible. (A641)

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will enter the public domain as a component of

fragrance mixtures which will be in turn incorporated into

detergents/softeners.

Recovery for recycling is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Products containing the substance can be disposed of as

household waste.
