First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water. If irritation develops, seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. If irritation develops, seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot and hydrogen

chloride.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1.  Contain and

sweep up spill. Transfer to suitable containers for disposal

by incineration at a suitable facility.

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic

chemicals. Protective clothing, safety glasses, safety shoes

and gloves should be worn.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a cool place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 2 kg of solid in fibre containers.

Danger other than fire: Cases of respiratory sensitisation have been observed with

reactive dyes and care should be taken to avoid inhalation

of dust (should an individual become sensitised, a physician

should be consulted and all contact with reactive dyes must

cease immediately).

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerate at a suitable facility.  An afterburner and waste

gas scrubber to remove oxides of nitrogen and sulfur and

hydrogen chloride should be fitted. (A661)

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain incorporated

into articles. Recovery from articles is not feasible.
