Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean
water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes.
Obtain immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with water.
Obtainimmediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon
and nitrogen
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear a self contained breathing apparatus and
suitablepersonal protective equipment.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure suitable protective clothing during removal
of spillages. Damp down and sweep up into a container
for disposal. Prevent from entering water courses.
Handling and storage
Handling: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed, dry and away from
static discharges. Control dust formation.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Imported as a sealed inkjet cartridge, volume ca. 50mls.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not economically feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal of empty inkjet cartridges and paper
incorporating the substance to landfill is possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method of destruction.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Unlikely to be degraded by short duration aerobic process.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Printed paper incorporating the substance could
be incinerated.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: "Empty" inkjet cartridges likely to be disposed of
via municipal waste collection. De-inking will
remove significant quantities of the substance during
paper recycling.
