A weight of evidence has been constructed to assess the risk of sensitisation from the read-across substances, phenylethyl alcohol and phenyl ethanol. A human patch test is available for phenyl ethyl alcohol however this study has been deemed insufficient for assessment. The human maximization test and mouse ear swelling test deem well documented and acceptable for assessment.
