Based on the data from modelling database, Modified Grain method (Mean of Antoine and Modified Grain methods) was used to estimate the vapour pressure of the test chemical using MPBPVP v1.43 of EPI SUITE. The vapour pressure of test chemical at 25°C was estimated to be 0.0192 mmHg (0.256 Pa).

Partition coefficient

The partition Coefficient n-octanol/water of test chmeical was determined by the Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method according to OECD Guideline No. 117 for testing of Chemicals. The reference substances were chosen according to estimated Pow range of the test substance and generalized calibration graph was prepared..The Log Pow value was determined to be 2.025±0.003 dimensionless at 25°C.

Water solubility

The water solubility determination of test item was done as per the OECD guideline 105 by spectrophotometric analytical method as per OECD 101. The solubility of test substance in water was determine to be 1758.3  mg/L at 25°C.Thus the  test substanc is considered to be soluble.

Surface tension

Based on experimental data, experimental mean surface tension of test substance was found to be 33.11 dynes/cm at  20º C and 966.8 hPa.

Flash point

Based on the available data, the flash point of test chemical was estimated to be 129.3 ± 16°C. Thus, on the basis of criteria mentioned in CLP regulation, the chemical has flash point > 60°C hence the substance was considered to be non-flammable.

Autoflammability

Test chemical did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that Test chemical is not auto-flammable

Flammability

Flash point of test substance was estimated to be 107°C. On the basis of CLP classification criteria, test chemical has flash point >60°C hence the test chemical was considered to be non-flammable.

Explosiveness

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Oxidising properties

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidizing properties and hence the classification procedure does not need to be applied.

pH

The pH of test substance is 10.48 at 22.5 deg C

Boiling point

The boiling point determination of test substance was done as per the test guideline OECD 103. The method followed was according to Siwoloboff. The boiling point is 204°C at 982.1 hPa

Based on the prediction done using the EPI Suite MPVPBP V1.43, the boiling point of test chemical was predicted. The boiling point of test chemical was estimated to be 279.88˚C.

Density

The density of test item was determined following OECD Guideline 109 and according to theIS 4730 : 1994 (Reaffirmed 2010) – Method for Determination of Density of Liquids (First Revision) using glass pyknometer. The mean  density of test item  was determined to be 0.93g/cm³ at 20°C and 973.3 hPa.

On the basis of data modelling database, the density of test chemical was estimated to be 0.945±0.06 g/cm3 at 20°C and 101325 Pa.

Particle size distribution (Granulometry)

The particle size study of test substance is waived as substance is waxy solid in nature, particle size distribution cannot be determine
